Vuyo has assisted with workshops many times, but earlier this year, she asked if she could bring some children from her community at Die Kop, halfway between Stanford and Gansbaai. Of course. But when their transport failed to arrive on a busy Saturday morning, six children, and Vuyo ran into Stanford (a distance of about six kilometres) to arrive for the workshop. If anything demonstrates a wish to read, that does.
Since then Vuyo has asked if she could hold workshops on her own. She can. This week she completed the third of a series of training workshops and is now able to hold workshops on her own. CBN will be supplying her with a mini-toolbox (a Toolkit) so that she can give workshops at Die Kop as well as in Stanford.
